Manziel, Mariota tied atop Heisman Trophy odds

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel and Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota sit tied atop the odds to win the Heisman Trophy this season at the sportsbooks as those two players prepare to lead their teams into their Week 8 matchups on the college football betting lines.

At TopBet Manziel and Mariota sit as the +150 co-favorites on the Heisman Trophy odds right now, with Florida State's Jameis Winston at +300, UCLA's Brett Hundley at +1000, Alabama's A.J. McCarron at +1200, and Clemson's Tajh Boyd at +1500 on those college football props.

Manziel has thrown for 1,835 yards with 14 touchdowns and five interceptions so far on the season, while also running for 427 yards and five scores. Mariota has thrown for 1,724 yards with 17 touchdowns and no interceptions through Oregon's first six games of the season, and he has managed to run for 426 yards and eight scores heading into Week 8 of the campaign.

And Oregon is also a perfect 6-0 both SU and ATS as they prepare to take on Washington State (4-2 SU, 5-1 ATS) late on Saturday night this week. The Ducks are coming off a 45-24 win at Washington as a 12-point favorite on the college football odds last time out, with Mariota throwing for 366 yards and three TDs and also rushing for a touchdown in that game.

The Ducks are 8-2 SU but just 4-6 ATS in their past 10 games against Washington State, getting tagged with an ATS loss in each of the last three meetings between the two teams. Last season Oregon topped Washington State 51-26 but failed to cover the huge 31-point road spread on the day. The sportsbooks have Oregon as a 38.5-point favorite for Saturday.

Texas A&M, meanwhile, is a 12.5-point favorite for Saturday afternoon as they play host to Auburn in a clash of 5-1 SEC teams; the Aggies are 3-3 ATS on the season, while the Tigers have been slightly bettor for their supporters at 4-2 ATS through their first six games this year.

The Aggies are coming off a slim 41-38 road win over Mississippi in which they couldn't cover the 7-point spread at the sportsbooks; Manziel ran for a pair of touchdowns in that victory.

Texas A&M blasted Auburn when the two schools met last season, winning 63-21 and easily covering the 14-point spread on the road in the OVER result. Kickoff for the Tigers/Aggies matchup on Saturday is set for 3:30pm ET, with Washington State at Oregon set for 10pm ET.
