NBA Playoff Betting: Spurs Still Odds Favorites Against Thunder

After a wild second game in their series what will Game 3 deliver on Friday night when the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder clash in Oklahoma?

The Thunder did something in Game 2 that had only been done by one other team all season when they won a game in San Antonio. Oklahoma City was a 7.5-point underdog at the sportsbooks but posted a 98-97 upset win that had plenty of controversy after a few referee mix-ups.

For Game 3 the series heads to Oklahoma City, which should be great news for the Thunder. In their last nine games at home the Thunder are a solid 8-1 straight up and 5-4 against the spread. They have an equally impressive home record against the Spurs; in their last 13 home games against San Antonio the Thunder are 11-2 SU and ATS.

Despite winning in San Antonio and owning a strong home record the Thunder are still underdogs in the series at top sportsbook Bovada. Right now the Spurs are a -270 series favorite and the Thunder are a +230 underdog.

Also on the NBA betting schedule Friday night is Game 3 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Atlanta Hawks. Cleveland cruised to a 123-98 win in Game 2 as a 7-point favorite behind some stellar three-point shooting. Cleveland set a new NBA record in the win with 25 three-pointers.

With a 2-0 series lead the Cavaliers are a massive -5000 favorite to win the series at Bovada. Atlanta can only hope that heading home will help them get back into the series. The Hawks have won six straight at home while going 4-2 ATS, but they’ve dropped their last three home games against Cleveland, all as the favorite.

Looking ahead to Saturday, the Golden State Warriors can push the Portland Trail Blazers to the brink with a victory in Game 3 of their series. Even without Stephen Curry this series has been a cakewalk so far for the Warriors; in Game 2 they rolled to a 110-99 win as a 9-point home favorite.

With that win the Warriors have won four in a row SU and ATS against Portland and in their last nine against them they are 8-1 SU and ATS.
