NBA Playoff Betting: Spurs Top Wager at Books on Weekend?

Has the San Antonio Spurs versus the Memphis Grizzlies been the most lopsided playoff series in NBA history so far?

Through two games the Spurs have completely dominated Memphis to take a 2-0 lead. In Game 2 the Spurs won 94-63 and easily covered the 17.5-point spread at top sportsbook Bovada. They meet up again Friday night in Memphis with the Spurs riding a seven-game win streak against the Grizzlies.

In those seven wins the Spurs were 6-1 against the spread. In their last eight trips to Memphis the Spurs are 7-1 straight up and 6-2 ATS.

Also on the hardwood Friday night the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Detroit Pistons and the Atlanta Hawks visit the Boston Celtics.

Cleveland has a 2-0 series lead after winning Game 2 by a score of 107-90 as an 11-point favorite. Detroit may have taken two of three from Cleveland during the regular season, but at home they have only one win SU in their last six against the Cavaliers.

The Hawks are also up 2-0 in their series with Boston. They won 89-72 as a 6.5-point favorite in Game 2, improving to 2-0 ATS in the series. Overall Atlanta has won five in a row SU against the Celtics with a 4-1 ATS record. The Celtics' only hope may be that the next two games are being played in Boston. In their last 13 home games versus the Hawks the Celtics are 10-3 SU and 7-6 ATS.

Looking ahead to Saturday the Miami Heat and the Charlotte Hornets and the Los Angeles Clippers and the Portland Trail Blazers return to the court after a few days off for Game 3 of their series.

Miami leads 2-0 after a 115-103 win in Game 2 as 4.5-point chalk. Heading to Charlotte for the next two games of the series shouldn’t worry the Heat much. Miami may have lost three of their last four games in Charlotte, but in their last 13 they are 10-3 SU and ATS.

After taking the first two games in their series against Portland the Clippers have won five in a row SU and eight of their last 10 versus the Blazers. Los Angeles is 4-1 ATS during their five-game winning streak and 6-4 ATS in their last 10.
