Top sportsbooks offer Super Bowl props and bonuses

With the Big Game comes the big betting, and the big betting boards. And of course those boards aren't just limited to the spread and total for Sunday's battle between the Broncos and Seahawks; they include dozens, even hundreds, of Super Bowl proposition bets for our betting enjoyment.

These prop offerings concern not just the happenings on the field Sunday at MetLife Stadium, but just about everything else surrounding the game, from the weather to the national anthem to the halftime show to the Gatorade dunk to the television ratings to how many gold medals the US will win at the Olympics and where certain drivers will finish in the upcoming Daytona 500.

For example, as of earlier this week 5Dimes was offering a price of +400 on the chance opera singer Renee Fleming omits or forgets a word during her rendition of the national anthem; and +650 on a safety being scored Sunday. Bettors might remember a safety was scored in last year's Super Bowl, right at the end of the game.

TopBet was offering +120 that the call on the coin toss will be “tails.”

BetOnline was offering +400 on the possibility that a player from either team dunks the ball over a goalpost; posting an OVER/UNDER of 24.5 on the number of Peyton Manning “Omahas;” and listing a price of +1500 on the need for a replacement official at some time during the game.

And Bovada was offering a slew of cross-pollination props. For one, bettors could choose which would be more, Broncos first-half points or US gold medals at the upcoming Sochi Winter Olympic; the number of sacks the Seattle defense registers Sunday against the number of points Washington Capital Alex Ovechkin tallies against the Detroit Red Wings that day; and the yardage of Manning's first pass completion against Jimmie Johnson's finish in the upcoming Daytona 500.

5Dimes is offering new clients up to $520 in free-play rewards.

New bettors at TopBet can get a 50 percent Super Bowl sign-up bonus, plus a free Super Bowl and NBA bet.
