GTBets arrived on the scene in 2011 as an apparent newcomer and late arrival to the sportsbook scene, but it brought with it plenty of history.

The site was born in August 2011 and rose from the ashes of the former VIP/BetGameDay group, which had chosen to go in a different direction. The result was a ‘new’ site that arrived with a talented and veteran staff and an experienced and deep-pocketed management team.

It’s the main reason why GTbets managed to arrive without a lot of notice and still managed to secure credible rankings and ratings among the online sportsbook review community. Normally, the arrival of a new sportsbook right before football season would be viewed with extreme suspicion.

But two years later, GTbets is not only still alive but has grown and is beginning to challenge some of the industry leaders.

Based in Curacao and armed with a respected management group, GTBets has invested in its product and taken product suggestions seriously. The result has been a cleaner site, more wagering product and a sharp mobile product that beats many of its larger competitors.

The site still has much to accomplish – more sports, better live wagering, a poker product – but it is doing a solid job in the areas where it offers wagering. And its rewards program and aggressive bonus structure (100% bonus up to $250l) has attracted plenty of attention.

GTBets is expected to continue its slow-grow policy and to continue making up ground on its bigger-name competitors. Knowing the quality of the people behind the operation gives TSB members plenty of assurances that this growth path will continue and that GTBets will become a destination of choice for gamblers in the coming months and years.
